I recently switched to a dark theme for my drupal website and had to retheme my 1PixelOut Player. What I noticed however is that for the SWF Tools module there is no “background” color for the actual flash player itelf, so when the player loads and is minimized there is a white background extending where the player displays when fully expanded.
I found the same issue here: http://drupal.org/node/414200 on the SWF Tools Project Page.
The resolution is not as clear in this post, but if you go to Admin > Site Configuration > SWF Tools > Embedding Settings. Within the “Default settings for embedding” frame you can either change the Background Color, or set the Window Mode to Transparent.
I was recently having this problem where Windows Vista would not sleep. I would choose sleep from the Start menu but it would just take the computer to the locked screen where I could log in again.
I was recently having this same problem seemingly out of the blue, and so I did a little research to figure out what the problem was. I received a hint from this forum post: http://www.buildyourown.org.uk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=35950, but the resolution wasn’t included.
After researching Away Mode in Vista I realized that it can sometimes be activated after enabling sharing with other network device. In my case I had set up sharing between my Vista box and my XBOX 360. I was able to find a way to turn this off.
- First hit the start button and type “power options”, then hit enter.
- Next, click “Change plan settings” under the currently enabled power plan.
- Select “Change advanced power settings”.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom. Expand “Multimedia settings”, then expand “When sharing media”.
- Finally select the “Allow the computer to sleep” option from the drop-down box.
- OK out of all the dialogues.
Your computer should be able to enter sleep mode now without any problems.

So my wife has had this problem with her cell phone. Whenever she tries to start the camera a message pops up saying, “Camera Start Error” and then it closes. She’s not able to use the camera function. I was searching on some phone forums through Google and found the fix, and it was so ridiculous that I had to blog about it.
ADMAN
I’ve had my 8700 for a while. Great little phone. Awesome camera. Been getting the “Error Starting Camera” message all of the sudden as well. Read elsewhere to either push the button and close the cover real quick or just close the cover real hard and the camera will start working again. Did both, and my camera is fine. I believe it might be the sensor in the flip thinking that the cover is still closed or something.
So I have some old Playstation 1 games that I wanted to play, but didn’t want to pull out my old PS2 console and set it up with the rest of my entertainment center so I thought I’d emulate. I’m using the ePSXe emulator and was really happy with it…until I started to play a game. For the emulator to work well you have to download a third party video plugin. I was using Pete’s OpenGL2 plugin, but the quality for all my games (FFVIII, Legend of Drgoon) was terrible, and changing the video plugin settings didn’t help at all. There were all sorts of shaded artifacts messing up the screen, entire background were black.
Maybe I’m just not that smart but I guess OpenGL is for Nvidia Video Cards. I have an ATI. After some researching I found that Pete’s other plugin works better with ATI cards. After switching to that plugin, the display has been wonderful. Here’s a link to the D3D Video Plugin (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/psgpuplugins/pete-s-gpu-plugins.html).
